What I did:
- Created the position of Editorial Department Manager
- Managed the production of timely and accurate reports fulfilling reporting requirements of private sector clients (most often massive environmental impact statements for the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency)

Project manager for several multiple-year editorial and production services contracts

What I did:
- Completed training for substantive and copy editing using the United States Government Printing Office Style Manual, The Chicago Manual of Style, and the “NASA Style Manual.” Used other style manuals as specified by clients.
- Prepared a list of “must-have” references and secured funds for the creation of an in-house reference library
- Sought training in and learned to operate all the equipment in the Composition Department (such as typesetting, copying, fax) and in our sister graphic arts company (such as the photostat camera)
- Was promoted from Editor Trainee, to Editor, to Senior Technical Editor/Writer, to Editor-in-Chief, editing hundreds of reports and books
- Wrote successful proposals resulting in millions of dollars in contracts from NASA HQ, NASA Goddard Space Flight Center, and the U.S. Department of Agriculture
- Wrote additional documents for clients as needed including “Using the International System of Units (SI)” for NASA
- Supervised a team of 12 editors in timely preparation of documents, mostly for federal government clients
- Acted as project manager for as many as 44 concurrent projects
